Michael is currently an Associate Lawyer at Taylor Nakai and was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2024.
Michael holds experience appearing before the Supreme Court of British Columbia at trial and in chambers. While at Taylor Nakai, Michael has gained experience in a variety of practice areas including estate, property, personal injury, and family litigation.
He earned his Juris Doctor in 2023 from the University of Victoria. While at UVic, Michael developed an interest in advocacy while working as a student clinician at the school’s full-service legal clinic, The Law Centre, where he provided free representation to low-income clients across a variety of matters. Additionally, Michael worked a co-op term with the Department of Justice, helping to draft pleadings before the Federal Court.
Before entering law school, Michael graduated from the University of British Columbia and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature through which he developed an appreciation for the power of storytelling.
When he is taking a break from work, Michael enjoys trying new foods, reading novels and poetry, hiking, playing online games and spending time with his family.
